The blue side of Manchester is looking for a younger shot stopper, rumours suggest

Upon the next opening of the transfer window, Ederson Moraes could move on from Manchester City, according to Football Insider. With interest from Saudi Pro League sides dangling above him, this could mean that Ederson, the 31 year old goalkeeper from Brazil, would no longer be  a long-term choice for Man City. Both of City's goalkeepers, Ederson and Stefan Ortega, have a June 2026 expiration date on their contracts with Man City. So what does this mean for the future of Guardiola's goalkeeping department?

As both Ederson and Ortega tease the possibilities of packing up and moving away from the Etihad Stadium, Man City’s transfer team are reportedly working on closing a deal with a new long-term goalkeeper for as the summer window approaches. Moves have been made to identify a potential replacement, according to senior correspondent, Pete O’Rourke, on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast’s latest edition. It has been said that the Premier League juggernaut will be prioritising the addition of a younger shot-stopper who will be able to make a home of the goalkeeper position (and the Etihad Stadium) for the foreseeable future.

Could this new goalkeeper be the one for Man City? A shiny new signature on the contract and a goalkeeper to better Ederson's legacy as the Citizens aim to reestablish a grip on the Premier League title race next season.
